UNDERSTANDING PM VISHWAKARMA YOJANA
Introduction
Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitaraman announced PM Vishwakarma Yojana during her 2023-2024 budget speech. The full name of PM Vishwakarma Yojana is PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana. It is also known by another name i.e. “PM VIKAS Yojana” or “PM Vishwakarma Scheme”. On 16th of August 2023, the Union Cabinet gave its permission to implement PM Vishwakarma Yojana in the whole of India. The date fixed by Union Cabinet to launch it is on 17th of September 2023. PM Vishwakarma Yojana is going to be launched on the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti on 17-09-2023. The main objective behind launching PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana is to financially support artists, craftsmen, and small business owners and help them grow their businesses by providing them with capital support. The government of India reserves a budget of Rs. 13,000/- Crore for the smooth implementation of PM Vishwakarma Yojana. Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprise is the nodal ministry of PM Vishwakarma Yojana. Loan up to Rs. 1,00,000/- on an Interest of only 5% will be provided to all eligible Artists and craftsmen for their business. And if they successfully pay back the loan amount then they again take a loan up to Rs. 2,00,000/- on an Interest Rate of 5%. Apart from capital loans, skill training will also be provided to artisans and artisans under the PM Vishwakarma Yojana.
The government of India will issue certificates and ID cards to PM Vishwakarma to facilitate the identification of beneficiaries. 18 Traditional marketing is included under the PM Vishwakarma Yojana of the Government of India. About Scheme

- Eligibility Criteria

- Washerman (Dhobi).

- Fill up the PM Vishwakarma Scheme Registration Form with your details including name, address, and job details.
- Submit the registration form.
- Download PM Vishwakarma Digital ID and Certificate for future use.
- Visit the PM Vishwakarma Scheme Portal and request the scheme components.
- Upload the required documents.
- Submit the application for consideration.
- Officials will verify the applications received.
- Free loans will be provided under the PM Vishwakarma Yojana with the help of commercial banks, regional and rural banks and other financial institutions.
- Artists and artisans can also register and apply for the PM Vishwakarma Scheme at their nearest CSC center.
- The government of India is planning to develop the PM Vishwakarma Yojana mobile app for enrolment.
